DJI Mini 4 Pro vs Mini 5 Pro: Which Mini Drone Should You Buy?

The DJI Mini 4 Pro and Mini 5 Pro are the two best mini camera drones you can buy in Lebanon. Both fold into a small bag, both sense obstacles in every direction, and both shoot excellent 4K. So which one makes sense for you?

Quick verdict

• Choose the Mini 4 Pro if you want a proven, lighter pro-level drone at a lower price.
• Choose the Mini 5 Pro if image quality in low light matters most, or you shoot a lot of vertical and creative angles.

Camera

This is the big difference. The Mini 5 Pro uses a 1-inch 50 MP sensor, the largest ever in a DJI Mini, with 4K video up to 120 fps. The Mini 4 Pro has a 1/1.3-inch 48 MP sensor with 4K/60fps HDR and 4K/100fps slow motion. In daylight both look great; at sunset, at night and in high-contrast scenes like the Lebanese coast at golden hour, the Mini 5 Pro holds more detail and less noise.

Gimbal and vertical video

Both shoot true vertical video for Reels and TikTok. The Mini 5 Pro goes further with a gimbal that rotates well beyond 90°, so you can get tilted, creative shots without editing.

Safety

Both have omnidirectional obstacle sensing and ActiveTrack. The Mini 5 Pro adds a forward LiDAR sensor, which helps in low light when cameras struggle.

Weight and rules

The Mini 4 Pro stays under 249 g. The Mini 5 Pro sits right around the 250 g mark depending on the region and battery. In Lebanon every flight needs an Army permit regardless of weight, so this matters less here than in Europe. Read our drone laws guide.

Which one should you buy?

If you are starting out or want the best value, the Mini 4 Pro is still one of the best drones ever made. If you are a content creator or photographer who wants the best camera in a small drone, the Mini 5 Pro is worth it.
