DJI Lito X1 vs Mini 4 Pro: Best Beginner Camera Drone?

The DJI Lito X1 is DJI's newest drone for beginners, while the Mini 4 Pro has been the go-to mini camera drone for years. Both are around 249 g with obstacle sensing in every direction. Here's how to choose.

Quick verdict

  • Choose the Lito X1 if you are a first-time pilot who wants the latest safety features and simple flying.
  • Choose the Mini 4 Pro if you want more advanced camera modes and tracking for creative work.

Camera

Both use a 1/1.3-inch 48 MP sensor. The Lito X1 shoots 4K/60fps HDR, 4K up to 100 fps and 2.7K vertical, with D-Log M colour. The Mini 4 Pro shoots 4K/60fps HDR, 4K/100fps slow motion and true vertical shooting with its rotating gimbal. Image quality is very close.

Safety

Both have omnidirectional obstacle sensing. The Lito X1 adds a forward LiDAR sensor, which helps in low light. The Mini 4 Pro has ActiveTrack 360° for advanced subject tracking.

Flight time and storage

  • Lito X1: up to 36 minutes per battery and 42 GB internal storage.
  • Mini 4 Pro: up to 34 minutes per battery (45 with the Plus battery), recording to a microSD card.

Which one for you?

For a first drone, the Lito X1 is the easiest and safest choice. If you already know you want to film creatively, track cars or bikes, and grow into more advanced shots, the Mini 4 Pro gives you more room.
