Best Drone for Wedding and Event Filming in Lebanon

Drone shots have become a must at Lebanese weddings, from venue fly-overs to the entrance and the zaffe. Here are the drones we recommend for event work, and what you need to know before you fly.

First: the permit

In Lebanon, event filming with a drone needs a permit from the Lebanese Army. In 2026, exceptional permits have been granted for events such as weddings, with the locations and times stated in advance. Apply early. Read our full drone laws guide.

Best drones for weddings and events

DJI Mini 4 Pro: best all-rounder

Small, quiet and with obstacle sensing in every direction, the Mini 4 Pro is safe to fly near venues and guests, and its 4K HDR video handles bright sun and evening lights well.

DJI Mini 5 Pro: best image quality

The 1-inch sensor of the Mini 5 Pro shines in the evening, when most wedding receptions happen. Ideal if you sell your footage professionally.

DJI Avata 360: most creative

The Avata 360 records 8K 360° video, so you can capture the whole scene in one pass and choose the angle in editing. Perfect for dramatic venue reveals.

DJI Avata 2: indoor and fly-through shots

For flying through a venue or following the couple, the Avata 2 with its built-in guards is the classic FPV choice. Only fly indoors with an experienced pilot.

Tips for great event footage

• Scout the venue before the day and plan your take-off spot.
• Keep a safe distance from guests and never fly directly over people.
• Bring at least three batteries; a Fly More Combo is a must.
• Use ND filters for daytime outdoor ceremonies.
• Agree with the couple and the venue before filming.
